Dr. Robert Stern

Robert M. Stern, M.D.

Robert M. Stern, MD is a comprehensive Board Certified Ophthalmologist, who has been specially trained in the diagnosis and treatment of medical and surgical diseases of the eye. He received his undergraduate and Masters degree in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University. He attended S.U.N.Y. at Buffalo School of Medicine.

Dr. Stern completed his ophthalmic residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He has practiced in Westlake since 1986. His participation at St. John Westshore Hospital includes Division Chief of Ophthalmology, Chair of Department of Surgery, Vice President  and President of Medical Staff and Community Board Member. His ophthalmic interests include cataract and refractive surgery, cornea and external disease, glaucoma management, and retinal diseases including diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.

Dr. Stern and his wife, Dr. Cheryl Stern live in Pepper Pike. Dr. Cheryl Stern has practiced dentistry on the east side for over twenty years. They have four daughters who promise to keep them forever young.
